Three Gorges Museum

Three Gorges Museum is located on the west side of People's Square in Chongqing. The museum houses over ten thousands of cultural relics such as Bashu bronze ware and Han Dynasty sculptures, showcasing the development history of this mountain city.

In the exhibition hall of "Magnificent Three Gorges" in the museum, a large number of physical objects from the Three Gorges reservoir area are collected, which truly reproduce the original appearance of the Three Gorges. The funnel-shaped circular dome directly above the museum building resembles a huge drip tray, symbolizing 'the water of the Three Gorges rises from the sky'. The exterior wall is composed of large areas of blue glass and antique sandstone. The blue glass symbolizes water, while the sandstone exterior wall represents mountains.
