Guanqian Street, located in the center of Suzhou City, not far from Suzhou Railway Station, is an old commercial street that was established in the Qing Dynasty. Now transformed into a pedestrian street, about 800 meters long, with its radiation out of the road eunuch lane, Bifengfang, etc., is Suzhou's famous snack street, commercial street, equivalent to Nanjing Fuzi Temple, Shanghai City God Temple.
The first thing you should do when you go to Guanqian Street is to go for its food, which is a collection of century-old stores. In addition, in Guanqian Street you can also visit the Xuanmiao Guan located in the middle of the street, Guanqian Street is named because it is located in front of the Xuanmiao Guan.
This Taoist temple was built in the Western Jin Dynasty in the second year of Xianning (276 A.D.), the Southern Song Dynasty in the sixth year of Chunxi (1179 A.D.) rebuilt, the main hall of the Sanqing Hall to the west you can see the “town of the temple of the treasures,” Lao Zi statue of the monument, the monument on the Lao Zi image of the Tang Dynasty Wu Daozi's handwriting, the portrait of the upper text for the Tang Dynasty Xuanzong inscribed Royal Praise, the Tang Dynasty calligrapher Yan Zhenqing, by the Song Dynasty stone carving master Zhang Yundi, a master. It was written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty, and copied by Zhang Yundi, a master of stone carving in the Song Dynasty.
