The Badaling Great Wall Pass is a trapezoidal structure narrow in the east and wide in the west, with two gates in the east and west. The eastern gate is titled "Juyong Waizhen", while the western gate is titled "North Gate Lock Key". The Great Wall extending northward from Guancheng is the North Great Wall, with 12 enemy towers. To the south of Guancheng is the South Great Wall, with 7 enemy towers. Compared to the North Great Wall, the South Great Wall has fewer tourists. If you have enough time, you can first visit the South Great Wall and then the North Great Wall.
In addition to being able to climb the Great Wall in Guancheng, there are also entrances to climb the Great Wall on the 4th floor in the south, 4th floor in the north, 8th floor in the north, and 11th floor in the north.
The North 8th floor is the highest elevation enemy building of the Badaling Great Wall, also known as the "Sun Viewing Platform". This is over 1500 meters away from Guancheng and a great place to overlook the Great Wall.
Riding the Cableway
There are also cableways built on the 4th and 8th floors in the south and north. Tourists who do not want to walk can take the cableway directly to the enemy building. After the game is over, they can take the cableway back. It can save energy and make it easy to play.
Surrounding Catering
The Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area has a commercial pedestrian street. If you are tired of climbing the Great Wall, you can rest and dine here after going down the mountain. In addition to the high-end and grand Badaling Hotel (foreign-related hotel), there are old Beijing style restaurants such as Zhajiangmian, Goubuli, and Jiaozi Restaurant, and fast food such as Subway, Yonghe soybean milk, which can be selected on demand. If you have enough to eat and drink, and if you still have energy, you can visit the nearby Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall and the Great Wall Museum of China.
