Longji Ancient Zhuang Village, located in Longji Terraced Fields Scenic Area, is famous for its Historic and Beautiful Original Ecological Landscape. Dating back to the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty （1368-1644），Longji Ancient Zhuang Village is one of the ancient villages with a long history in the scenic area.
Longji Ancient Zhuang Village has over 200 households and over 1000 people. It is a Zhuang village, mostly inhabited by the three surnames Pan（潘）, Liao（廖）, and Hou（侯）. Due to traffic congestion and late development, the original terraced landscape is preserved here very well, while the traditional hanging wooden buildings with railings distributed along the ridges are authentic and unique.
Longji Ancient Zhuang Village has the most complete, oldest, and largest preserved Zhuang style hanging wooden building complex in Guangxi and even in the country. Hanging foot buildings are usually built along the mountain, mostly consisting of two or three floors, integrated with stone walls and slate walls. The wood is chiseled with tenons, drilled with holes, and fitted with wooden bolts, without the use of a single iron nail. The spectacular terraced fields and unique construction methods of stilted buildings have conquered tourists from all over the world with their unique charm.
When traveling in Longji Anicent Village, you can follow the bluestone slab road upwards and admire the stone bridges, monuments, carvings, etc. that tell the history of the past time.
After passing through the viewpoint of "Ancestor Field (始祖田 Shi Zu Tian）", you can reach the "Long Stream （长沟 Chang Gou）" observation deck and overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire village. When going down the mountain, you can stand at the " Dragon Going To River（游龙下江 You Long Xia Jiang）" scenic spot and watch the terraced fields spiral down like a giant dragon, all the way to Jinjiang Stream, which is very spectacular.
