Chunxi Road

Chunxi Road is located in Chunxi Road Street, Jinjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is lively and bustling, with about 700 commercial outlets and an area of approximately 220000 square meters. It is known as a Chinese characteristic commercial street in the industry.

Chunxi Road was built by warlord Yang Sen in 1924. At first, it was named "Senwei Road" due to Yang Sen's title of "General Senwei". Later, it was renamed Chunxi Road, taking inspiration from the story in the Tao Te Ching: "The crowd is bustling, like enjoying a prison, like climbing a spring platform". The biggest feature of Chunxi Road is that it gathers various specialty stores of numerous brands, as well as numerous Chinese time-honored shopping malls, making it a preferred shopping destination for out of town tourists and local white-collar workers.
