6 Days Shanghai Suzhou Hangzhou Tour

Upon arrival at Shanghai Airport, you will meet local guide and be transferred to your hotel in Shanghai City.

Shanghai is a modern metropolis, which is second to none in China and even the Far East. In this city that had opened its port more than 160 years ago,one finds not only traditional industries, but also fast-de-veloping information industry, electronic and astronautics science and technology, and also a vibrant finance industry that is well connected with the world.

Highlights: Drive 1.5 hours to visit Tongli water town, then driver 30 minutes to Suzhou and visit Lingering Garden, Panmen Gate,  Guanqian Street.

Tongli Water Town: Age-old but very well preserved water township with a history of more than 1,000 years. Located on the eastern shore of Taihu Lake, just 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Suzhou City, Tongli town is 63 square kilometers (24 square miles) in area and has a population of over 33 thousand. True to its reputation, Tongli is a really wonderful travel destination where you can spend a marvelous holiday or experience traditional Chinese culture. Follow our guide and you will have a general idea of this captivating water-town.

Lingering Garden: Which is one of the four most famous classical gardens in China.  Constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is famous for the way it artistically dealt with space, and seamlessly combined various pavilions into the picturesque landscape.

Panmen Gate: Panmen Gate, a historical landmark in Suzhou,  is located on the south-west corner of the Main Canal or encircling canal of Suzhou.  As China's existing only water and land parallel gate, Panmen Gate is one of the signs of the ancient city of Suzhou. 

After breakfast, drive 2 hours to Hangzhou for lunch at a local family, you can help cooking if you are interested in distinguishing the Chinese family kitchen from the westerns.

In the afternoon, you are taken to Longjing Tea Plantation to experience the traditional method of making Longjing (Dragon Well) Tea as well drinking, picking, smelling or buying. Hangzhou is famous for its Longjing Tea, one of the best green teas in China.

In the evening we will go to visit Hefang Street, which is the most famousstreet in Hangzhou. For its brilliant culture and long history, Hefang Street is regarded as thel symbol of ancient Hangzhou. Vising this busy but interesting street, you can catch a glimpse of the old buildings and famous brand stores passing down generation by generation, enjoying local snacks as well as savoring the beautiful artifacts and Chinese style ornaments.

After breakfast, visit West Lake by cruise, then visit Linying Temple, after lunch, drive back to Shanghai.

West Lake: There are many lakes named "West Lake" in China, but the "West Lake" here in Hangzhou is usually considered the most beautiful among all. It is surrounded by hills on its three sides, with an area of about 6.5 square kilometers.

Linying Temple: Also known as Yunlin Temple, it is located at the foot of Lingyin Mountain to the west of West Lake. It is the earliest famous temple in Hangzhou, with many beautiful cultural relics from different dynasties. It is the birthplace of Jigong, and is said to be a very effective place to pray for blessings, with an endless stream of visitors coming here every day to pray for blessings.

After breakfast, you will visit the Yu Garden which is a typical private garden in China with nearly 500 years history,located in Shanghai old town. Then, continue sightseeinf of the Bund, it shows off Shanghai's outstanding foreign buildings, most of which were erected before 1937.it is the emblem of Shanghai, the area used to be British concession.

Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant, In the afternoon, we will visit the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are displayed, afterwards,drive to the Lujiazui financial area. Then you will visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is the third tallest Tv Tower in the world,get a bird view of the city and learn the history of Shanghai from Historical Development Museum at 0 meter of the TV tower.(If don't want to queue there in the long line,we can go to visit the 100th Floor of World financial center building without extra fee.); then Taking the cruise on the Huangpu River where the best view of the Bund and Lujiazui area are for your appreciation.  Drop-off service at your hotel and end today's trip.

After breakfast, you are free before transferred to the airport for the flight to your next city.
