With over 1700 years history, Xingping Ancient Town is located on the banks of the Li River in the north of Yangshuo County. Nowadays, there are still ancient streets, bridges, stages, temples and other scenic spots in the ancient town.
Xingping Ancient Town was built in 263 during the Three Kingdoms period. There are many cultural relics and historical sites inside. Although there have been some changes to the exterior and interior walls of the building due to the style requirements of the store, the overall appearance remains unchanged and the simplicity remains unchanged.
The scale of Xingping Ancient Town is not large, and there are still many cultural relics and historical sites, mainly concentrated in Xingping Ancient Street and fishing villages about 2 kilometers away from the town, which have relatively intact preserved the original historical environment and style. There are also some small shops selling specialty products in the ancient town. Strolling through the town, you can still appreciate the charm of "long old streets and deep ancient alleys.".

Laozhai Mountain
Laozhai Mountain,standing only 526 meters away from Xingping Ancient Town, is close to the dock of Xingping Ancient Town. This mountain has an altitude of only over 300 meters, but it is a beloved holy land for photographers. To climb Laozhai Mountain, you need to step over 1100 steep steps. Approaching the mountaintop, you still need to climb two iron ladders to reach the mountaintop.
Standing on the mountaintop, you can overlook Xingping Ancient Town. Originally, the Li River took a turn at the foot of this old village mountain, and boats shuttled through it.
If viewed from afar, you can see the beautiful scenery of Guilin, which can be described as a combination of mountains and particularly enchanting. Especially in the evening, the small plain formed by the vicissitudes of life on the opposite bank of the Li River, with continuous mountains and ridges, turns slightly red in the sunset, and a little bit of greenery is revealed in the faint red. This is what the famous Chinese painter Xu Beihong praised as the "Xingping Sunset".
Chaoban Mountain
There are lots of mountains standing on the both sides of Li river.Lying 1.4km away from Xingping Town, the Chaoban Mountain is located on the east bank of the Li River, northwest of Xingping Town. With an altitude of 199.7 meters, Chaoban Mountain is one of the famous mountains with landscape scenery along Li River.

Xianggong Mountain is the best viewing platform for appreciating the scenery of Yangshuo. Climbing onto Xianggong Mountain and gazing into the distance, one can see the towering peaks like stalagmites in full view. The clear Li River meanders through the peaks, forming a large curved hook. In the morning mist, it is like a clear divine stroke in ink painting.
