The Golden Bauhinia Square is located next to the Wanchai Convention and Exhibition Center. On the square stands the golden bauhinia flower bronze statue commemorating the return. Here you can watch the solemn flag raising ceremony. The square is surrounded by Victoria Harbour on three sides and faces Tsim Sha Tsui across the sea.
The Golden Bauhinia Square is very small, and most of the tourists come for the commemorative statue of the return. The full name of this 6-meter-high bronze statue is' Forever Blooming Bauhinia ', symbolizing prosperity and flourishing. At a corner of the square stands a 20 meter high monument, echoing the golden Bauhinia bronze statue from afar.
The flag raising and lowering ceremony is a highlight of Golden Bauhinia Square. The Chief Executive of the Special Administrative Region will lead key officials to attend, and the helicopter formation of the Flight Service Team will fly low over the square. Firefighters will also perform water spraying performances. At this moment, a large number of citizens and tourists come to watch around the square.
