Baolian Temple, or Po Lin Monastery, is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom of the South" and has been thriving for many years. There are many buildings with Chinese characteristics in the temple that are worth visiting, including the the Shakya ManiHall and the Tianwang Hall with courtyard gardens.
This place is also a filming location for many Hong Kong dramas, and the natural scenery around it is also very beautiful. The surrounding Phoenix Mountain is a great place to watch the sunrise. In addition to worshiping Buddha, you can also enjoy Buddhist Buddhist Food food here.
Across from Baolian Temple is the world-renowned Temple of Heaven Buddha, which is also one of the iconic attractions on Lantau Island. This bronze seated Buddha statue has a plump and elegant face, with ears hanging down from the shoulders and the right hand showing the "Fearless Seal", demonstrating the Buddha's wish to save sentient beings.
To worship the Buddha, you must first climb 268 stone steps to reach the Buddha. The Buddha is majestic and peaceful, and the surrounding scenery is picturesque, making it a relaxing and peaceful place for contemplation. Inside the Memorial Hall on the pedestal of the Great Buddha, there are relics of the Buddha enshrined. Those interested can purchase tickets to visit.
