Zhusha Ancient Town is located in Wanshan District of Tongren City, Southwest China's Guizhou Province, Formerly known as Wanshan National Mine Park, Zhusha Ancient Town is a national 4A-level scenic area, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and it was included in the preparatory list of China's Cultural Heritage in 2012.
With a total area of 105 square kilometers, Zhusha Ancient Town is one of the top ten scenic areas in Tongren City. Zhusha Ancient Town is formerly known as Wanshan National Mining Park. Due to its cinnabar production ranking first in Asia and third in the world, Wanshan area is known as the "Kingdom of Dansha".
The main attractions of Zhusha Ancienttown include: Wanshan Mercury Mine Industrial Heritage Museum, New Era Patriotic Education Base, Dansha Valley Road, Setting Down Cloud Dwelling, Cliff Swimming Pool, etc.
In the ancient town, there are entertainment projects waiting for you to experience, such as hot air balloons, high-altitude gliding, high-altitude glass rafting, cliff swimming pools, and the "nostalgic cinema" in the auditorium.
The Russian Expert Building was first built in 1956, covering an area of 1423.8 square meters and a building area of 738.1 square meters. It is a "three courtyard" style building with small green tiles and a garden inside.
On September 28, 1957, experts from the Soviet Union (Russia) such as Fedolchuk, Bebochkin, and Durchinsky went to Wanshan to help with mining development. In order to receive them well, they specially built this building according to the design requirements of the experts. This small western-style building is a historical witness to the history of China-Russian relations.
The average altitude of the scenic spot is about 800 meters and the average annual temperature is about 16 degrees Celsius. With the reputation of "Cool Wanshan", the air in the scenic spot is fresh and is a nice summer resort.
