Mengdong River Scenic Spot, located in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, more than 80 kilometers away from the southwest of Zhangjiajie, spans Yongshun County and Guzhang County, with a total area of 255 square kilometers. It consists of four parts: Mengdong River Drifting, Wangcun, Buermen, and Laosicheng.
Mengdong Riaver is a waterway tourist destination that combines mountain scenery, water color, and rare plants, combining the style of an ancient town and the charm of mountains and wilderness.
On both sides of Mengdong River, there are towering stone walls, ancient trees, dense karst caves, and rugged rocks. There are 15 main scenic spots, including Longmen Gorge, Guanyin Cave, Bayin Shigua Cave, Jinshi Cave, Yuanyang Gorge, Jinchan Cave, Broken Arm Stone, San March Ding Temple, Xiaolong Cave, Dasheng Gorge, Yinyang Shenfeng Cave, Monkey Dance, Fairy Gorge, Fengliu Rock, and Laosi Rock.
There are mountains and water, known as the "nine or eight twists and turns without a clear path, five or five ponds, Meng Dong River drifting (15 beaches), a line of sky". Especially drifting is thrilling and thrilling.
