Origin
The cheongsam, or Qipao in Chinese, evolved from a kind of ancient clothing of Man ethnic minority. In ancient times, it generally referred to long gowns worn by Manchuria, Mongolian and the people of Eight-Banner.
Materials
The Cheongsam is usually made of excellent materials like silk, silk brocade , satin, satin brocade or velour. Nearly all colors can be used. Often the Cheongsam gets a certain pattern, such as Chinese Dragons, different kinds of flowers, butterflies or other typical Chinese icons
Features
Cheongsam features strong national flavor and embodies beauty of Chinese traditional costume. It not only represents Chinese female costume but also becomes a symbol of the oriental traditional costume.
