On September 20, 2022, the show of Meeting Dayong was premiered successfully at the new immersive theater in Dayong Ancient Town, Zhangjiajie City.
Setting against the backdrop of Dayong in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, this show tells a touching story of the Dayong men defending their families and country, while the Dayong women persevered in love.
WIth about one hour performance, it not only cleverly showcases the picturesque scenery of Zhangjiajie, but also incorporates intangible cultural heritage and folk customs into the plot. Such as celebrating the Chinese New Year, throwing bowls of wine, Singing songs in Lishui, and Sangzhi folk songs, the show will allow the audience to immerse themselves in the charming local culture along the way.
