Impression of Wulong is a famous large-scale landscape drama performance wich is put on the Wulong Karst National Geological Park in Chongqing City.
It takes the karst landform of Wulong as the main stage, with Chuanjiang opera as the main clue, "disappearance" as the main style, blurred virtual and real light effects as the main technique, and Chinese Southwest Mandarin as the main dialogue. It uses a participatory approach to interpret the lost and struggling way out of the industrialization process of folk customs in eastern Sichuan.
This performance is very vivid, close to people's lives, and loved by a large audience.
Impression Wulong performance was led by Zhang Yimou as the art consultant, Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue as the chief directors, and more than 100 featured actors performed live with genuine emotions. The main content was the disappearing "trumpet", allowing the audience to personally experience the magnificent natural scenery of the natural heritage site and the unique local customs of Bashu during the 70 minute performance.
Impression Wulong's theater is located in the Taoyuan Grand Canyon, about 9 kilometers away from Xiannv Mountain Town. Upon arrival at the canyon, visitors must first pass through a long tunnel. There are 44 projectors on the walls diagonally above both sides of the tunnel, presenting dynamic images of the landscapes of various scenic spots in Wulong, presenting a colorful and magnificent dreamlike scenery, giving visitors the illusion of crossing a time tunnel.
After coming out of the tunnel, there is a winding tree lined road connecting the audience seats, which are placed on open-air stairs and can accommodate more than 2700 people. The stage extends to the stands, which then merge into the stage, allowing actors and audiences to have close contact.
