Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located in Changning District, Shanghai, about 13 kilometers away from the city center. As the first civil airport in Shanghai, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport has become one of the largest international airports in China after years of expansion.
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport mainly responsible for domestic and international flights. The T1 terminal has a long history and currently mainly carries flights from Spring and Autumn Airlines, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, as well as flights from Japan and South Korea. Rail transit: Both Metro Lines 2 and 10 can reach the Hongqiao Airport Terminal (with Line 2 only reaching Terminal 2, while Line 10 can reach Terminals 1 and 2).
High speed railway: Terminal 2 of Hongqiao Airport is connected to Hongqiao Railway Station, and you can walk there or take subway lines 2 and 10 to get there.
Public transportation: Hongqiao Airport can take ground buses to and from Zizhu Science and Technology Park, Jiading West Station Subway Station, Pudong Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Yan'an East Road Bund, Lupu Bridge, Qingjian New Village, Shanghai Zoo and other urban areas. Taxi: The taxi pick-up point is located on the arrival floor of Terminal 1 and the south side of Gate 4 on the arrival floor (ground level) of Terminal 2.
Long distance buses: Hongqiao Airport has opened long-distance passenger routes to multiple surrounding cities such as Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi, Zhangjiagang, etc., which can be transferred within the Hongqiao Hub West Transportation Center.
Shuttle bus: Free shuttle bus services are provided between terminals 1 and 2 of Hongqiao Airport, with waiting stations at Terminal 1 (6:00 and 22:30 for the first and last flights) and Terminal 2 (6:00 and 23:00 for the first and last flights).
