Zhuang Brocade is a famous handicraft of the Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi, and Zhuang women in Guilin are extremely skilled at it. It is carefully woven with various colors of velvet and fine yarn. 

Zhuang Brocade is mostly patterned with animal shapes from the Zhuang region, with exquisite weaving techniques, concise and bright lines, unique and coarse patterns, and brilliant colors, possessing strong ethnic characteristics.

Zhuang Brocade, along with Yun Brocade, Shu Brocade, and Song Brocade, is known as one of the four famous brocades in China. It is said to have originated in the Song Dynasty and is a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation.

Zhuang brocade, also known as mbaw laiz fax in Zhuang script, means the page of heavenly patterns. This exquisite handicraft is woven using cotton or silk thread, with vivid patterns, rigorous structure, colorful colors, and a warm and cheerful ethnic style. It reflects the Zhuang people's worship of heaven and earth and their pursuit and longing for a better life.

Xincheng County is one of the origins of Guangxi Zhuang brocade, with a long history and profound cultural heritage. Xincheng Zhuang brocade was once a masterpiece of Guangxi Zhuang brocade, presented as a tribute to the imperial palace.
