Twenty Four Bends

Twenty Four Bends, also known as the Stilwell Highway, is a section of road with twenty-four bends (from which the Twenty Four Bends originated). It was called Yaguan in ancient times and also known as Banguan by locals. It is located 1 kilometer south of the county town. Twenty four twists and turns spiral along a low and steep slope between the majestic Qinglong Mountain Range and Mopan Mountain, with the momentum of one man holding the pass and ten thousand men unable to open it. The 24 Corner Observation Deck is located on Qinglong Mountain, 7 kilometers south of the county town.

Twenty Four Turns Road is the iconic symbol and classic section of the Stilwell Highway. This road winds and twists, with a total of 24 bends, winding up to the top of the mountain.

The road is also an ancient road with profound historical deposits, and a powerful historical proof of the true history of the Chinese and American people's heroic resistance to the Japanese invaders.

The 24 turn highway was a major channel for the transportation of international military supplies to China during the War of Resistance Against Japan, making an indelible contribution to the comprehensive victory of the war. This is the historical record of the Chinese and American people during the Anti Fascist War, and there are now preserved relics such as the "US Wall" and the "US Station". In 2006, it was designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
