Overview

Located in Southwest of Guizhou Province, Qianxinan has its full name as Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Sitautaed is in the junction of Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou at the upper reaches of the Pearl River, and the transitional zone between the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Guangxi hills, Qianxinan is a commercial distribution center and traffic fortress in the adjacent areas of the three provinces and regions. 

Here, mountains surround the water, tourism resources are unique, natural scenery is picturesque, folk customs are simple, and the climate is pleasant for travel in each mounth.

Qianxinan Prefecture is located in the north and south Panjiang River basin of the the Pearl River water system, which is a typical mountain area with low latitude and high altitude. The entire terrain is high in the west and low in the east, high in the north and low in the south. The highest altitude is 2207.2 meters and the lowest altitude is 275 meters.

Qianxinan Prefecture has jurisdiction over 8 counties (cities), including Xingyi City, Xingren City, Anlong County, Zhenfeng County, Pu'an County, Qinglong County, Ceheng County, and Wangmo County. Currently, there are more than 30 ethnic minorities living together, including Buyi, Miao, Yi, Li, Yao, Dong, Shui, Hani, and Mulao. Xingyi City is the capital of Qianxinan Prefecture.
