Overview
Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, located in the central and southern part of Guizhou Province, is a key point connecting the southwest to South China and Lingnan. It is the nearest channel for Guizhou to go south to the sea. Qiannan has a total area of 26200 square kilometers, with 12 counties (cities), as well as the total permanent population of 3.48 million.
Qiannan belongs to a typical subtropical warm and humid monsoon climate. The scenery here is beautiful and the people are simple. The main scenic spots include the world natural heritage site Libo, known as the "emerald on the Earth's belt", the world's largest 500 meter aperture spherical radio telescope "China's Eye", and the mysterious world's largest sinkhole community .
Qiannan is also an important leisure and vacation destination in southwestern China and one of the study tour destinations in western China.
