Zunyi Travel Guide
Overview
Zunyi City, abbreviated as "Zun", is located in the northern part of Guizhou Province, bordering Luzhou City in Sichuan Province to the west, connected to Chongqing City to the north, 140 kilometers south of Guiyang City, and 239 kilometers north of the urban area of Chongqing City. It is the second largest city in Guizhou Province and the political, economic, and cultural center of northern Guizhou.
Zunyi is a city with a long history. In 1935, when the Long March of the Chinese Red Army was in danger, the CPC held the famous "Zunyi Conference" here. Mao Zedong regained the military leadership of the Red Army and led the Red Army to win the Long March. Therefore, the Zunyi Conference was a crucial turning point for the Red Army's life and death, and Zunyi was thus dubbed the "city of turning points and the capital of conferences".
Zunyi is also clear and fragrant due to its fine wine. Famous liquors such as Maotai, Xijiu, and Dongjiu are all produced here. Since ancient times, people who love wine have regarded this place as a paradise on earth.
Zunyi has beautiful mountains and unique scenery, with mountains, water, forests, and caves as its main features. The Yang Can Tomb, known as the "treasure trove of ancient carving art in Southwest China", the national level Suoluo Nature Reserve, known as the "living fossil of life", and the "another wonder of China" Chishui Shizhangdong Waterfall are all located here. It can be said that there are beautiful scenery everywhere and scenic spots step by step.
