Buyi Wax Embroidery

As one of the ethnic minorities who have lived in Guizhou for generations, the Buyi people have a long and rich history. They follow the customs of "cultivating and eating on their own, planting cotton with indigo, spinning and weaving, dyeing and cutting, painting and embroidering".

The characteristic of Buyi wax printing embroidery is the use of a single color, interwoven with exaggerated patterns, forming a unique artistic style. The unique patterns also embody the Buyi people's emotions towards the bits and pieces of daily life.
