Youmai Yao Village is located on the beautiful banks of the Beipan River in Lewang Town of Wangmo County, with a Yao population accounting for 98.6% of the total population. It is a gathering place for the Yao population in Youmai Yao Township, and is also known as the "Yao Village on the Ridge" because the village is situated halfway up the mountain.
Red represents the hospitality, diligence, and simplicity of the Yao people. Therefore, the bricks, tiles, walls, and windows on the characteristic residential buildings in Youmai Village are all red. At the same time, the walls of the buildings are also painted with patterns of Yao festivals, clothing, textiles, embroidery, etc., creating a strong ethnic cultural atmosphere.
There is a canyon called Liuli Canyon ( Six-mile Canyon) located 10 kilometers away from Lewang Town in Wangmo County.
The canyon scenery is beautiful and can be called a masterpiece. The gorge is 12 kilometers long, with two sides facing each other and towering into the clouds. The cliffs are towering like axes, majestic and grand.
The Six-mile Canyon has always been quiet, without any noise or arrogance, like a peerless and independent beauty standing silently in the vast mountains, radiating beauty bit by bit. Even though it was quiet like dust, her beauty could never be concealed.
