Zhenfeng Ancient City was originally an ancient market town for the ancestors of the Buyi ethnic group. This ancient market town began before the Han Dynasty and gradually expanded to its current location. The ancient city was surrounded by stone walls, and later built with Confucian temples, Minqiu Academy, and Lianghu Guild Hall.
Zhenfeng Buyi Ancient City was originally called "Min Valley", which is a transliteration of the traditional Buyi language. Originally an ancient market town for the ancestors of the Buyi ethnic group, it began 600 years before the Han Dynasty. The Ming and Qing dynasties street in the ancient city of Buyi gradually formed a foreign trade port where the Han and multi-ethnic groups integrated from the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty to the present day, and prospered for a time.
Entering the ancient city, visitors can see the green stone paved streets, red painted carved wooden windows on both sides of the houses, plaques placed above various shops, and red lanterns hanging high along the street, beginning to convey the strong atmosphere of the ancient city to people.
In the passage of time, history will be gently awakened, and time forms a fusion of weight and diversity here. Therefore, it belongs to the cultural treasures and precious memories of Zhenfeng County.
