Guiguzi, formerly named Wang Xu, also known as Wang Chan, was a famous person with his Taoist name " Guiguzi" who lived in the Chu State during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, but it was unknown his birth and death year.
It was said that there were four flesh moles on his forehead which make him look like a ghost, Gui鬼 in Chinese. But he was proficient in a hundred schools of knowledge, Due to his seclusion in the Ghost Valley of Yunmeng Mountain ( also today's Tianmen Mountain), he called himself Mr. Ghost Valley, also Gui Gu 鬼谷先生 in Chinese .
Guiguzi often went to the mountainous for meditation, and was endowed with wisdom that connected heaven and earth. He was well versed in the laws of nature and the mysteries of the Heavenly Way. After mnay years. Guiguzi became a famous strategist who was not only the master of the art of war but also the founder of the School of Diplomacy of Hundred Schools of Thought,
Guiguzi was honored as the "Sage of Seeking" by later generations. In Cultural history, Guiguzi was an academic master alongside Confucius and Laozi. He concealed himself from the world, placed the world in a chess game, and his disciples joined forces to influence the survival of various countries, driving the course of history. His main works include important works such as "Gui Gu Zi" and "Ben Jing Yin Fu Qi Shu".
Nowadays, the works of Guiguzi have been referred to as the "Forbidden Fruit of Wisdom, Unprecedented Wonderful Book" in later generations, and have been listed as forbidden books throughout history.
