Glass Skywalk in Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk is divided into three sites: West Scenic Spot Glass Skywalk, East Scenic Spot Skywalk,  Panlong Cliff Glass Skywalk. Touring each site of the glass skywalk, you are required to pay CNY 5  for the shoe cover fee.

The West Scenic Spot Glass Skywalk, hangs on the west line of mountaintop with 60 meters in length, 1.6 meters in width and highest elevation of 1,430 meters. Made of glass, the whole walkway that make people feel weak in knees. The great excitement it brings to tourists is on par with the world-famous American Grand Canyon Skywalk does.

The East Scenic Spot Glass Skywalk, with  60 meters long and 1.6 meters wide ,built on the east line of mountaintopover 1400 meters above sea level. 


Panlong Cliff Glass Skywalk, with 100 meters long and 1.6 meters wide,  is called this name because if you stand on the glass skywalk you can overlook 99 winding mountain roads in Tianmen Mountain. The boardwalk is highly favored by tourists with its majestic and dizzying visual experience of soaring cliffs.

All glass skywalk are built on the cliffs whch roads are all made of transparent glass. Walking on it, you will feel the joy of flying when you see the deep valley at your feet. The blue sky and clouds reflect on the walkway in sunny days, which make people frightened standing on it but also enjoy the pleasure of walking on the inverted image as if they are stepping on the clouds. In foggy days, the glass walkway is partly hidden and partly visible in the floating cloud and mist. In order to make beautiful scenery clearly visible for tourists through the glass walkway, visitors are required to wear shoe cover if they want to set foot on it to keep the cleanness and transparency of the glass. 

However, the Glass Skywalk in Tianmen Mountain is a must-go place if you are brave enough to challenge yourself.
