Preserved Meat, also Cured Meat,  is not only the favorite of the people of Zhangjiajie but also an essential Chinese New Year product. 

At the end of each year,local people cut fresh pork, apply thick salt, and hang it on your own firewood pit for several months to smoke. Once the surface is golden, it can be consumed. The smell of wax is fragrant, and the taste of food is fragrant but not greasy. The cured meat made in this way can be stored for 2-3 years, and the longer it lasts, the more fragrant it becomes.
