Dongba Culture Museum, located inside Lijiang Old Town, is one of the major attractions in Lijiang City. It is a must-see place if you want to know more about the calture of Dongba ethnic people and the history of Lijiang City.
This is a building arranged according to the development of Naxi ethnic dwellings,utilizing the natural landscape of Yuquan water source and the western foot of Xiangshan Mountain.
From north to south, traditional dwellings of different stages, such as ancient human cave dwellings, nest dwellings, semi cave dwellings, tent dwellings, dry railing dwellings, as well as wooden lintel houses, three squares and one screen wall, four platforms and five courtyards, have been opened up. Folk cultural relics reflecting the productivity level of Naxi ethnic groups in different periods are exhibited in them. Open up folk and religious ritual scenes such as "Sacrifice to Heaven", "Sacrifice to Wind", and "Sacrifice to the Hall", and perform Dongba sacrificial rituals for the audience.
