Aviation

As of 2022, Lijiang City has two branch airports, Lijiang Sanyi Airport and Lugu Lake Airport, with nearly 100 cities outside China connected to Lijiang. Lijiang Sanyi Airport has become the fifth largest airport in Southwest China and the second largest airport in Yunnan.  

Lijiang Sanyi International Airport

Lijiang Sanyi International Airport was officially completed and put into operation in 1995. It underwent two rounds of renovation and expansion in 1998 and 2008 respectively. Lijiang Sanyi International Airport operates at a 4D level, with a domestic terminal of 33000 square meters and an international terminal of 5300 square meters. The runway is 3000 meters long and there are 28 parking spaces.

Ninglang Lugu Lake Airport

Ninglang Lugu Lake Airport is located in Shifo Mountain, Hongqiao Township, Ninglang County, covering a total area of about 168 hectares. The airport has an elevation of 3292.9 meters and is positioned as a 4C level regional airport in China. It is designed to meet the target of a passenger throughput of 450000 and a cargo throughput of 900 tons by 2020. The terminal has an area of 5127 square meters and a runway that is 3400 meters long and 45 meters wide. Ninglang Lugu Lake Airport received project approval in June 2011, started construction on April 24, 2013, and officially began operation on October 12, 2015.

Highway

As of 2022, Lijiang City has built a highway network connecting Dali, Diqing, and Sichuan, including the Dali Expressway, Lijiang Panzhihua Expressway, Lijiang Xiangtan Expressway, and Yongbin Expressway. 760.481 kilometers of national and provincial trunk lines within Lijiang City. Among them, there are 4 national highways with a total length of 518.856 kilometers and 3 provincial highways with a total length of 241.625 kilometers. There are 210 bridges and 2 tunnels. The mileage of highways in Lijiang City has reached 11522 kilometers, and the mileage of expressways has reached 451 kilometers.

Railway

As of March 2023, Lijiang City has the Dali Railway and Renli Railway, with a total length of 41.7 kilometers. The Dali Railway speed improvement project has been completed and officially opened for operation on January 5, 2019. The railway mileage in Lijiang City has reached 41.7 kilometers. Develop 17 pairs of trains, including 10 pairs of high-speed trains (1 pair of high-speed trains directly to Guilin North Station). Lijiang City has two railway stations, Lijiang Station and Lashihai.
