Heilongtan Park, also known as Black Gragon Pool Park, is located at the foot of Elephant Mountain in the north of the Lijiang City. Tracing upstream from the large waterwheel, there is a crystal clear spring pool, that is the Black Dragon Pool.
Here you can photograph the beautiful Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, watch the many ancient buildings in the compound, and climb Elephant Mountain overlooking the Old Town.
Heilongtan Pool was originally a temple of the Dragon King in Lijiang, and there are many springs next to the temple, accumulating water into a pool. Because the spring water is like jade, reflecting the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, also known as “Jade Spring Park”. This is the water source of Lijiang Old Town, and you can see the spring columns gushing out of the surface of the water at the edge of the spring pool, and the water is very clear.
