Lashihai Wetland Park

Lashihai Wetland Park, located 10 kilometers west of Lijiang City, has abundant water and beautiful grass. Surrounded by green grass, Lashihai Lake has groups of fish and shrimp in the water. The environment is very beautiful. This is still a wintering habitat for many migratory birds, with over 100000 birds wintering every year. Lashihai has also become a great place for horseback riding, boating, and bird watching in Lijiang.

Starting from the ancient city of the Old Town of Lijiang, go west along the Changshui Road, and turn over a hillside (Huangshan Mountain) to see the continuous water surface. The lakeside is lush with vegetation, and the mirror like smooth water reflects the blue sky and white clouds, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.

Surrounding the lake are Naxi villages, and each village facing the lake has established a horse ranch, providing visitors with horseback riding for sightseeing and boating for leisure.

You can spend a few dozen money to rent a horse and take a stroll on the grassy beach by the lake, breathing in the fresh air of the wetland. You can also invite a boatman to slowly row on the lake while eating grilled fish. You can also play a long line around the lake, ride a horse to the deep wetland across the lake, breathe the air with the fragrance of grass, and listen to the horsemen talking incessantly about the old Naxi ethnic stories.

The months between December and February of the following year are a good time for bird watching in Lashihai. At this time, there are hundreds of thousands of migratory birds flying from various places to winter. During the day, birds forage everywhere, and in the evening, they rest in the bushes by the lake. The morning and evening are the time for bird watching.
