Wangu Tower, located on the Lion Peak to the west of the Old Town of Lijiang, is the manor building of the ancient Chieftain Mu's family. The pavilion is carved with scenery, and the appearance is very grand. With high terrain, Wangu Tower is a good place to watch and shoot the panorama of the Old Town of Lijiang.
From the west side of the Old Town of Lijiang, you can climb the Lion Mountain, which takes about half an hour to one hour to reach the area of the Everlasting Tower. Although you can overlook the ancient city from an angle on the way up the mountain, it is not as open and spectacular as the Everlasting Tower. Standing in the scenic area, the gray roofs of the ancient city are laid out in a staggered pattern, and in the distance stands the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with white peaks. The scenery is picturesque, and many widely circulated photographic films are taken from here.
The Wangu Tower itself is also a building worth visiting. This attic has 13 upturned corners, symbolizing the thirteen peaks of the Jade Dragon; There are 2300 auspicious patterns in the carvings, such as wearing stars and the moon, all of which are very exquisite and represent the 23 ethnic groups living in Lijiang; In addition, there are dragon patterns, coffered ceilings, stone carvings, etc., each with its own characteristics. Don't miss them when visiting.
