Huizhou Cultural Museum


Huizhou Culture Museum is located at No. 50, Airport Yingbin Avenue, Tunxi District, Mount Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was developed from Mount Huangshan City Museum. The new museum was officially opened on January 8, 2008, and it was free of charge in the same year.

The Huizhou Cultural Museum has a collection of nearly 100000 pieces (volumes) of various cultural relics, including ceramics, inkstones, Huizhou ink, calligraphy and painting, Huizhou three carvings, bronze ware, jade ware, miscellaneous items, ancient books, Huizhou documents, etc. Among them, there are nearly 50000 ancient books and nearly 30000 contract documents. The Sheyan, Huimo, Xin'an calligraphy and painting, and Huizhou literature in the museum's collection are characteristic items, among which the Wenfu ink unearthed from the Song tomb is the earliest discovered Huizhou ink in China.

The Huizhou Cultural Museum is the second batch of national key ancient book protection units, the second largest comprehensive museum in Anhui Province, and also a national first-class museum. The museum receives over 500000 Chinese and foreign visitors annually.
