Qipanshan is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Shenyang city. The scenic area is surrounded by mountains and waters, lush trees, and suitable seasons for viewing lotus flowers and red leaves. The natural scenery is very beautiful. At Qipanshan, you can experience various entertainment activities such as hiking, wilderness CS, and mountain slides. You can also come here for picnics and leisure, spend leisurely weekends, and every winter, the Ice and Snow World here is a paradise for admiring ice sculptures and playing snow. In addition, there are cultural landscapes such as the Kanto Film and Television City available for viewing in the scenic area, with rich content.
Qipanshan Scenic Area has multiple entrances and exits, with a relatively large area. The central Xiu Lake alone has a circumference of over ten kilometers, and there are no regional buses within the scenic area. Therefore, it is recommended to choose self driving when visiting Qipanshan. The recommended tour route is: South Gate of the scenic area - Xiuhu and Matou - Huishan - Qipanshan - Dayangshan. Each section of this route has multiple attractions that can be visited one by one.

Xiu Lake
Entering the scenic area from the south gate, you will first see the first attraction "Bitang Fenghe". There is a pond about the size of a football field where lotus flowers are widely planted. If you come in summer, you will definitely enjoy the scenery of the lotus pond. After passing through the lotus pond, we arrived at the lake, where the scenery on both sides of the lake was beautiful, and many people were fishing by the lake. Turning left along the road by the lake, you can reach Xiuhu Pier, where you can take a ride or a speedboat to wash the water on the lake, enjoy the lush greenery on both sides of the mountain, and feel very relaxed and comfortable. Every autumn, the maple leaves on several mountains all bloom red, blending with the green, making the mountaintops colorful and a good time for photography.
Huishan
Behind Xiuhu Wharf is Huishan, with a height of 265 meters. The stones on the top of the mountain are white and are known as "Huishan Qingxue". Nowadays, due to the dense vegetation on the top of the mountain, it can no longer be seen in summer. There are stone steps on Huishan Mountain. Climbing to the top of Huishan, you can see the Qingxue Tower, the dangerous pavilion, and the suspended terrace at the top of the mountain. Looking down from the suspended terrace, the scenery is beautiful and exciting. There is a cableway built at the foot of Huishan Mountain, and most tourists take the cableway up the mountain. The cableway has open seats, and the trees sitting at its feet are clearly visible, making it very spacious. When descending the mountain, in addition to taking stone steps and cable cars, there are also slides to choose from. It only takes three to five minutes to slide all the way from the top of the mountain to the bottom by taking a pulley. Along the way, passing through forests and slopes, it is thrilling, exciting, and full of fun. At the bottom of Huishan Mountain, there are also Huishan Bird Forest and Xiangyang Temple to watch. Among them, Huishan Bird Forest is the largest bird forest in Asia, with more than 80 kinds of cranes and rare birds inside, which cannot be missed.
Qipan Mountain
After visiting Huishan, you can head west along the lake and arrive at Qipanshan, which is 260 meters high. The hiking trail up the mountain is somewhat winding, and it takes about an hour to reach the top. In the middle, you will pass by attractions such as the meteorological station. At the top of the mountain, there is a large stone with a very flat top. Legend has it that it was the chessboard where Lv Dongbin and Tie Guai Li played chess, and it is also the origin of the name Chessboard Mountain. At the foot of Qipanshan is Shenyang Wildlife Park. If you like animals, you can go and watch it.
Kanto Film and Television City
After playing Chessboard Mountain, continue westward along the lake and first arrive at the Kanto Film and Television City, which has over 170 antique style buildings. You can choose whether to purchase tickets for the film and television city according to your interests.
Tai-young-shan
Finally, we come to Dayang Mountain in the northwest of the lake. At the foot of Dayang Mountain is a folk village, which provides authentic northeast delicacies such as wild vegetables, farmhouse catering, Roasted whole lamb, etc. At the foot of the mountain are entertainment projects such as wild CS, amusement parks, etc., which is a good place for entertainment in the scenic spot.
Ice and Snow World
Every winter, the Ice and Snow World on the west side of Chessboard Mountain is open, with many ice and snow sculpture exhibitions inside. The ski resort inside is also a famous place that is close to ice and snow. There are also amusement projects such as snowmobiles and go karts to meet the needs of tourists who do not know how to ski.
