Shenyang Taoxian International Airport is one of the eight regional hub airports designated by the national public air transportation system, and is the largest composite gateway hub airport in Northeast China. Taoxian Airport is located in the center of the Shenyang metropolitan area and is a shared airport for eight cities, 20 kilometers away from the center of Shenyang city. Shenyang Taoxian International Airport is currently a 4E level national first-class trunk airport and will be expanded into a 4F level civil airport in the future.
Shenyang Taoxian International Airport has multiple domestic routes to major cities across the country, serving as a gateway for Northeast China to connect with various countries. It offers international and regional routes to Hong Kong, Taipei, Macau, Taichung, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Seoul, Cheongju, Daegu, Busan, Osaka, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Jeju, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Sydney, Singapore, Bangkok, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Nagoya, Vancouver, Melbourne, Munich, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Phuket, Mokpo, Nha Trang, and other destinations.
Railway
Shenyang is one of the railway hubs in Northeast China, where multiple main railway lines such as the Beijing Harbin Railway, Shenyang Dalian Railway, Shenyang Jilin Railway, Shenyang Dalian Railway, Shenyang Jiaxing Railway, Shenshan Railway, Sufu Branch Line, and Harbin Dalian High speed Railway intersect. Shenyang Station, Shenyang North Station, and Shenyang South Station are the main railway stations in Shenyang. Other stations include Huanggutun Station, Sujiatun Station, Shenyang West Station (discontinued), Shenyang East Station (discontinued), etc. Among them, Shenyang Station, Sujiatun Station, and Yuguo Station (formerly Shenyang West Station) are three railway special stations. Shenyang Station is the largest railway station in Northeast China in terms of passenger transport scale. The Shenyang South Station, which was put into use in 2015, is the intersection of the Harbin Dalian, Beijing Shenyang, and Shendan high-speed railways.
