Gude Temple

Gude Temple, founded in the third year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1877), is hidden in the intricate streets and alleys of the Hankou section under the Second Yangtze River Bridge. To enter the Good Monastery, one needs to pass through winding and dilapidated small streets and alleys to reach this temple, which is now a place for nuns (commonly known as nuns) to practice.

There is a four faced Buddha enshrined in the courtyard. Ms. Zhang Zishan invested a huge amount of money in 1997 to bring this four faced Buddha to the Good Monastery in Thailand. The four sides of Buddha represent compassion, benevolence, universal love, and justice. Legend has it that Buddhism has boundless power on all sides, so it cannot be worshipped in the temple. Only the sky can serve as its main hall.

The Yuantong Treasure Hall is the core building of the entire temple. In the high-rise Lin Lizhong, it is well-known and preached mainly because it differs from the architectural style of ordinary temples. The Yuantong Palace is modeled after the Ananda Monastery in Myanmar and has a strong exotic flavor. Whether you are friends interested in Buddhism or photography enthusiasts, it is worth coming here to take a look. The palace is quiet and peaceful, the air seems to freeze, and the sunlight shines through the doors and windows, creating a sacred and peaceful atmosphere. There are also some simple auxiliary buildings around the main hall, mainly used by believers for temple maintenance and upkeep, and of course, they also practice here.
