The four treasures of Hubei Museum

  1. The unearthed from the Zeng Houyi Bianzhong in the tomb of Zeng Houyi.

  2. The masterpiece of the Cold Weapon Era.

  3. The Yue King Goujian Sword, skull fossils of Yunxian people dating back 1 million years ago.

  4. Treasure in Yuan blue and white porcelain, Four Love Plum Vase.

The daily exhibitions in the museum also have distinct characteristics of ancient Chu culture and ancient Yangtze River civilization.

The Hubei Museum consists of three antique style buildings: the Comprehensive Exhibition Hall, the Chu Culture Hall, and the Chime Bell Hall. The layout reflects the high platform architectural layout format of "one platform, one hall" and "multiple platforms grouped" in ancient Chu architecture.

Hubei is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and belonged to the territory of the State of Chu during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. The daily exhibitions of the museum showcase the ancient civilization of southern China, which is different from the Yellow River civilization in the north. At present, there are permanent exhibitions in the museum, such as "Chu Culture Exhibition", "Yunxian People - Ancient Humans in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River", "Qujialing - Prehistoric Culture in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River", "Panlong City - Bronze Civilization in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River", etc.
