Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is connected by more than ten natural villages built along the mountain, inhabited by the "West" Miao ethnic group. On the upper level of the mountain slope, there are stacked wooden stilt houses belonging to the Miao family. The coffee colored old houses are nestled against the emerald green mountains. The Baishui River divides the village into two parts, with one side of the river (on the left side after entering the Xiaobei Gate for tourists) mainly serving as a commercial pedestrian street, and the other side of the river (on the right side after entering the Xiaobei Gate for tourists) mainly serving as an observation deck overlooking the village.
Arriving at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, you can go down from the parking lot and saw a gate with a plaque reading "Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village". There is still 1.5 kilometers of road from this gate to the village, and you can take an electric scooter or walk. After passing this 1.5 kilometers, you will see a gate that looked similar to the parking lot and had a plaque hanging with the words "Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village". Only then did I truly arrive at the village.
Drink the gate wine first, then enter the village. The first thing you see is the commercial pedestrian street, selling a dazzling array of Miao ethnic specialty products, including Miao silver jewelry. Kongbai in Dagou Township, Leishan County, near the Miao village, is a well-known silver craftsman village. Almost all the men in the village have mastered silver jewelry making techniques, and Miao silver craftsmanship is exquisite.
At the end of the village, there is a pastoral scenery, and even during peak seasons, few people come to this area. There is an electric scooter station across the river that leads to the observation deck. Let's walk to the observation deck. The road is not long, and there are several points along the way that offer a good view of the scenery. Arriving at the observation deck, waiting for nightfall, the grand play of Xijiang has just begun. Thousands of lights shone from under the eaves of the wooden stilted houses, dotted and outlining the outline of the entire Miao village. It was in the shape of a cow's head, and it was hard to imagine a village in the mountains with such bright lights. Early in the morning, I arrived at the observation deck again. A thin mist enveloped the Miao village, and the first ray of sunlight turned the wooden houses golden. The smoke from the kitchen rose gently, and a new day began again. This brightly lit scene. Early in the morning, I arrived at the observation deck again. A thin mist enveloped the Miao village, and the first ray of sunlight turned the wooden houses golden. The smoke from the kitchen rose gently, and a new day began again.
In Miao villages, it is common to see Miao women with their hair tied in a bun and large flowers inserted into it. Just watching is not enough. You can also rent a few sets of Miao costumes and dress up as a Miao girl, which looks particularly beautiful and is very popular among girls.
The tourism development of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is mature, and there is no need to worry about food and accommodation. Eating, the famous one is the long table banquet. People will ask you everywhere in the restaurants in the village if you want to eat the long table banquet. If you make the table longer, even if you have a long table banquet, it is worth experiencing. The real long table banquet is open-air, with dozens of tables connected by elders, and it may not be possible to see the end from beginning to end. During important festivals and important travel groups, authentic long table banquets are held, so don't miss them. Qiandongnan has a slightly sour taste, and Miao Village's special food includes fish in sour soup, pickled Chinese cabbage, bacon, etc.
