Qiandongnan Transportation


Qiandongnan is a transportation hub in the three provinces (autonomous regions) of Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hunan, with smooth transportation networks including highways, railways, aviation, and shipping. There are national trunk highways such as Shanghai Kunming, Lanhai, and Xiamen Chengdu that connect the interior and exterior, and multiple highways along Rongcheng, Tianhuang, and Songjiang that connect the state.

Railway

As of September 26, 2021, the railways that have been opened in Qiandongnan Prefecture include the Shanghai Kunming Lao Railway, which was built in the 1960s and 1970s. It passes through Majiang, Kaili, Huangping, Shibing, Zhenyuan, and Cengong in the prefecture and has four passenger stations: Kaili Station, Shibing Station, Zhenyuan Station, and Yangping Station. The Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway passes through the provinces of Majiang, Kaili, Taijiang, Jianhe, Sansui, and Cengong, with two passenger stations located at Kaili South Station and Sansui Station. The Guiyang Guangzhou high-speed railway passes through the three counties of Congjiang, Liping, and Rongjiang within the prefecture, with two passenger stations located at Congjiang Station and Rongjiang Station.

Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture has Kaili Huangping Airport and Liping Airport, and Tianzhu Airport is under construction. Kaili Huangping Airport successfully passed its test flight on May 1, 2013, and officially opened on October 1. The airport is 191 square kilometers away from the provincial capital Guiyang and 49 square kilometers away from Kaili. At 11:55 am on November 21, 2021, the Wuxi Kai Li route was opened. In 2022, Kaili Huangping Airport has encrypted flight routes in the Greater Bay Area, and has opened five routes including Kaili Guangzhou, Kaili Fuzhou, Xi'an Kaili Quanzhou, Nanning Kaili Wuhan, etc. The Kaili General Airport project has been included in the planning of Qiandongnan Prefecture General Airport.
