Tribe of the Three Gorges Scenic Area is located in the magnificent and fantastic Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, consisting of three areas: families on the mountain, families on the water, and families by the stream.
What to see
Here, you can enjoy the natural scenery of the Three Gorges from all angles and perspectives by combining boat tours with walking. There are rich and colorful folk performances in the scenic area every day, giving you the opportunity to personally participate and deeply experience the ancient and mysterious Bachu culture.
From Yichang city center, you can reach the scenic area by bus or boat, and the whole journey takes about 1-2 hours. The tourist area of the scenic spot is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River. Tourists must take a ferry from the "Hujintan Pier" next to the "Tourist Service Center" on the north bank to the south bank, so the scenic spot tickets are bundled with round-trip ferry tickets for sale. The scenic area can be divided into three areas: mountain households (near the cableway station dock), water households, and stream households (near the Longjinxi dock). Among them, water households and stream households are connected and located by the Yangtze River, which can be visited on foot. And various scenic spots of the families on the mountain are distributed on the mountains by the river. When playing, you can climb the mountain on foot or take a cableway up and down the mountain. Tourists can choose the order of their trip according to their preferences, and the routes they choose when taking the ferry on the north bank also vary depending on the order of their trip.
The entire scenic area is lush with green trees and the gurgling stream is like entering a large oxygen bar. In the residential area on the mountain, tourists can admire the local characteristic "stilted houses" and learn about the living scenes of the local ancestors in each room inside the building. In the man-made scenic spot "Ba Wang Palace" in the mountains, you can enjoy antique performances with Cuban style. In addition, the "Lamp Shadow Stone" standing at the top of the cliff is also a good place for taking photos and taking pictures.
After descending the mountain, walk downstream along the Yangtze River, and not far away you will see households on the water and by the stream. There is a performance of "boatmen's songs" in the area of the Water House. The songs have both majestic and passionate tones, as well as pleasant and lyrical melodies. Listening to these ancient melodies, it is as if one can see the arduous life of boatmen crossing rapids and dangerous rapids in the Yangtze River in the past.
The water houses are located near the confluence of the Yangtze River and Longjin River, and the houses on the river are right here. Here, nestled between mountains and waters, with half landing and half entering the water, the scenery is picturesque. Here, you can see the youngest girl washing clothes by the stream and the local girl boating in the stream, fresh and beautiful. There are many attic buildings distributed on the slopes near the creek, showcasing the daily life of local families on the creek. There are also exciting performances such as throwing embroidered balls, bride snatching, entering the bridal chamber, and the groom pulling fibers. Many performances also invite tourists to participate in person, such as playing the groom.
