Yichang mandarin oranges, a specialty of Yichang City, Hubei Province, hold a national agricultural product geographical indication. Yichang City, Hubei Province, is one of the birthplaces of citrus. Yichang mandarins are large, oblate, and weigh approximately 150 grams per fruit. They have a thin, smooth peel and an orange-yellow color. The flesh is tender, seedless, and high-quality, with a sweet and sour flavor. The edible content is 85%, the soluble solids content is ≥9%, titratable acid ≤1.0 g per 100 ml of juice, and vitamin C ≥20 mg.On September 1, 2017, the former Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China approved the registration and protection of the "Yichang mandarin orange" as a national agricultural product geographical indication. In November 2019, it was selected as a regional public brand for Chinese specialty agricultural products.

Yidu Yihong Tea, a specialty of Yidu City, Yichang City, Hubei Province, holds a National Agricultural Product Geographical Indication designation. Produced in the hilly and mountainous area at the confluence of the Yangtze and Qingjiang Rivers, Yidu Yihong Tea boasts tight, fine tea leaves with golden tips, a jet-black, glossy color, a sweet, long-lasting aroma, a mellow, refreshing flavor, and a vibrant red soup that tends to become cloudy upon cooling. It is a representative example of Chinese bar-shaped black teas. The Yihong Ancient Tea Road, a crucial component of the Sino-Russian Tea Road, served as a tea transshipment warehouse, a gathering place for tea merchants, and a major distribution center for Yihong Tea. Numerous historical relics remain along the ancient tea road, both by land and water, within Yidu.

On May 22, 2014, the former Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China officially approved the registration and protection of "Yidu Yihong Tea" as an agricultural product geographical indication.
