Xiling Gorge

Xiling Gorge, located in the western suburbs of Yichang City, is a section of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River that preserves its original style.

Stretched from Gezhouba Dam in the east to the Three Gorges Dam in the west, Xiling Gorgeis known as the "gateway to the Three Gorges" and "throat of Sichuan and Hubei".

Xiling Gorge is one of the birthplaces of Chu Culture. The whole scenic area includes Happy Valley, Sanyou Cave, Shangri La and other scenic spots.

Ouyang Xiu ( a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty)  once praised this gorge as "a place where the mountains and rivers connect with Shu and Chu, and the heavenly bell shines brilliantly in the Western Mausoleum".

Here, there are no peaks or peaks, no beaches or dangers, no caves or wonders, no valleys or valleys, no waterfalls or beauties. There is no place that cannot be written into poetry, and no place that cannot be painted.
