Connected Suoxiyu Natural Reserve in the east, Yangjiajie Scenic Spot in the west, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the south, Tianzi Mountain Natural Reserve is one of the four major parts of Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie City.
Tianzi Mountain was formerly known as " Qingyan Mountain" . In the late Song Dynasty( 907-1129), Xiang Dakun, the local Tujia ethnic leader, once led local farmers to uprising and claimed to be "the Son of Heaven", Tianzi 天子 in Chinese, which only emperor might be called "Tianzi". After the he died, Qingyan Mountain was renamed Tianzi Mountain.
What to see in Tianzi Mountain?
Covered a total area of 5400 hectares, Tianzi Mountain is even better known as the "King of the Peak Forest". Tianzi Peak is the highest point at an altitude of 1262.5 meters. Tianzi Mountain has four wonders such as cloud waves, moonlight, sunset, and winter snow. The scenic spot of Tianzi Mountain is divided sixi tourist routes as below:
Shijiayan Tourist Route is the most popular attraction for tourists. Located in the northeast of Tianzishan Scenic Spot, 16 kilometers away from Tianzishan Town, this tourism route has the Strange Peak Forest in the Shentang Bay Valley, which is the golden tourist section of the scenic area. Helong Park, Tianzi Pavilion, Yubi Peak, Shentang Bay, and Fairy Flower Donation are all located in this community, which are listed as below:

Laowuchang Tourist Route
Laowuchang Tourist Spot, also known as the Old House Farm Tourist Spot, is located on the west part of the Tianzi Mountain. Facing the Bailong Elevator from afar, it is an undeveloped scenic spot in the Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve. Chapanta, 茶盘塌 in Chinese, means Tea Tray Plate, is a tourist spot located in the south of Tianzi Mountain Natutral Reserve of Zhangjiajie City.
