1. Zhaishanping Village, Hangu Town, Jiulongpo District
Zhaishanping Village was originally named as Huangcheng or Xiaoliangshan. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, and it contains profound history and culture. In the late Ming Dynasty, Zhang Xianzhong proclaim himself emperor here, and named it as Huangcheng. Weapons and swords were collected and buried underground, and it was called Tieqiufen. 3. Minzu Village, Meijiang Town, Xiushan
Minzu is located at the common boundary of Hunan and Guizhou. It is a typical village. A river runs through the village and villagers live along the river. The village contains Miao, Tujia and Han ethnicity. Of these, the population of Miao accounts for 70% of the total population, so the Miao language is still popular here. The ethnical language is still used, and the traditional culture, customs, and wooden building also remain.
4. Tongzhai Village, Tanghe Town, Jiangjin
This village was built in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The ancient buildings of 350,000m2 were kept within the area of 2km2. The buildings are built on the blue stones, in brick-wood structure, with cornices and uplifting angles. All these buildings are the typical building clusters of Bayu houses and Anhui style archetectures.
5. Liming Village, Fengming Town, Yunyang Town
Liming is located in the east of Fengming Town, a historical village hidden in the mountains and water. Its most famous building is the “Peng's Ancestral Temple” which is called “Peng's house” by local people. It was built in 1864, covering 3,500m2, integrating sacrificial offerings, protection and civil house, and reflecting the farm culture, house relics and ancestral temple.
