The site of the Zunyi Conference was originally the private residence of Bai Huizhang, the commander of the 2nd Division of the 25th Army of the Guizhou Army. The entire building is divided into two parts: the main building and the cross courtyard. The corridor of the main building is a great place for sightseeing and taking photos. Here, you can see the surrounding verdant and towering mountains pointing to the peaks of Honghuagang, Qiqishan, Yupingshan, and Fenghuangshan, which were once the battlefield between the Red Army and the enemy during their second occupation of Zunyi.
Visiting the site of the Zunyi Conference inevitably requires receiving patriotic education. Tourists can reminisce about that difficult history, view many historical photos and written materials, as well as various items used by revolutionary martyrs before their death. This is a place to increase historical knowledge and commemorate revolutionary martyrs, worth a visit.
In early January 1935, after the Long March of the First Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army arrived in Zunyi, the General Headquarters and First Bureau of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Chinese Soviet Republic were stationed in this building. The Zunyi Conference, at the critical moment of the Chinese revolution, saved the Party, the Red Army, and the Chinese revolution, and was a life and death turning point in the history of our Party.
