Opened on December 26, 2021, Zhangjiajie West railway station, all so known as Zhangjiajiexi Ralway Station, is located in Shadi Town of Yongding Distrcit, where it is at the junction of Qianjiang–Changde railway and Zhangjiajie–Jishou–Huaihua high-speed railway. And it is 18 kilometers away from Wulingyuan Scenic Area and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, 5 kilometers away from the center of Zhangjiajie.
Zhangjiajie West Railway Station is a high-speed railway station linking a number of popular tourist destinations in central China's Hunan Province.
